At our Development Center in Pavia, you will have the opportunity to manage a highly capable team of engineers that take part in making Infineon the global leader in power semiconductors.
As Head of the Development Center (DC) in Pavia, you will be part of the Management team at Infineon Italy (IFI). Moreover, you will be responsible for ensuring that operations and performance run smoothly in coordination with all internal and external stakeholders.
In your new role you will:
- **Define, maintain and implement **a vision and development strategy for the DC **in alignment with the IFI Management team and Infineon HQ. This includes driving organizational development, defining roles and responsibilities and development plans for key employees;
- **Represent Pavia and Infineon with local authorities in coordination with IFI Managing Director **, contributing to the IFI Management team living leadership principles, culture and supporting corporate processes;
- **Be responsible for business continuity and managing facilities **ensuring a scalable, optimized and flexible space management as well as infrastructure availability in coordination with other functions;
- **Ensure compliance of the DC **with applicable laws and regulations, corporate and local, with special reference to Health & Safety topics;
- **Be responsible for budget planning and controlling, ensuring cost efficiency **at a competitive regional level, plan and provide for site CAPEX, supervise procurement activities and maintain relations with key partners;
- **Support R&D excellence **by achieving KPIs, customer satisfaction, complexity reduction, effectiveness, best practice sharing, project management excellence, risk management;
- **Manage employee satisfaction, mentor and support leaders **to achieve ambitious performance targets and establish a team with know-how and potential **for the business units (BUs) strategy and future development;
- **Maintain relations with research institutes and universities **in order to access state-of-the-art competences and talent, **explore and manage local funding opportunities **in alignment with Corporate, BUs and other departments.

You demonstrate strong communication skills and know how to establish lasting relationships and networks. Furthermore, you put internal and external customers at the heart of your thoughts and actions. You actively look for the ideal solution and contribute to putting decisions to work as soon as they are taken.
You are best equipped for this job if you have:
- At least **10 years of experience in people management **, with a solid previous experience as site manager and/or managing a mid-size organization;
- At least **15 years of experience in a B2B electronics environment **, preferably in the semiconductors industry;
- A **Master degree in Engineering **, preferably Electronics, **or Management **;
- **Experience in quality improvement cycle, audit certification and project management **- semiconductor product development is a plus;
- **Knowledge of local applicable rules **, mainly in labor and Health & Safety laws, and overall **culture and environment **;
- **Fluency in Italian and English **- German knowledge is a plus.
