The Northern Lights Village brand was born in 2016 and since then we opened three resorts in Finnish Lapland. We are for joyful trainees, that are looking for a great internship experience, to join our company in the heart of Lapland. We give our trainees the opportunity to work at the reception, in the restaurant, and as wilderness guides, to maximize their experience in different departments and to get the best out of their internship.

A good performance during a traineeship opens the possibility of a growing career with the Northern Lights Village.

Trainee responsibilities are:

- Greeting customers upon entering
- Assisting customers with queries
- Making relevant suggestions
- Answering phone calls and making reservations
- Helping to arrange transportation for guests
- Providing customers with menus
- Help customers to decide which is best to choose
- Taking and delivering orders
- Accepting payments and returning the change
- Working with other staff members in a team
- Helping to organize equipment, including thermal clothing and other activity gear
- Participating in activities led by an Experienced guide and supporting the guide as required

Trainee requirements:

- Restaurant, Reception and/or Wilderness Guide education or equivalent
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Excellent customer service skills
- Work outdoors for long periods of time, darkness and under very low temperatures

It would be beneficial for a Trainee to:

- Have a valid B drivers' license
- First Aid certificate
- Speak other languages: Finnish, Chinese, Japanese, German, Spanish and French are an advantage.
- Have knowledge of the local area
- Photography skill

Pay, duration and benefits
- The traineeship is unpaid.
- Starting between November and until the end of March.
- Three meals a day are offered by the resort
- Accommodation in a shared room is provided free of charge
