Internal Auditing Specialist

The challenge

Haier Europe is part of Haier Smart Home, the number one company globally in major appliances. Haier Europe runs a high-end and ecosystem brand strategy with 3 major brands (Haier, Candy and Hoover) covering the wider European region. Haier Europe reported over 2022 a 3.2 billion sales revenue, is head-quartered in Milan and is present in virtually all countries in and around Europe with over 10.000 employees.

The team has only recently been established but is highly ambitious. It strives to combine modern internal audit approaches (RPA, data analytics, behaviour auditing etc) with a strong business and value-add mindset. The company’s ERM process is part of HEIA’s responsibilities.

The HEIA team has currently 2 staffs in The Netherlands and is expanding in Italy. Given the strong focus on an audit approach that supports the CEO with the execution of the strategy, the team will be relatively small, and will host only seasoned professionals that are capable of addressing all risks relevant for our company. Mandatory C-SOX compliance testing is not part of HEIA’s procedures. Currently we are recruiting a senior level internal audit professional.

What you will do

Main Responsibilities
- Executing audit programs to identify key risks in the company’s key processes in small teams
- Supporting the managers in designing work plans
- Taking the lead auditor role in selected assignments
- Participating in a network of experts from other internal audit teams of the Group
- Driving innovative solutions to create efficient and effective means to identify and mitigate risks in the audit universe

What you need to succeed
- Experience as medior/senior level auditor or as risk manager in a high demanding environment
- Studying for an audit qualification, like CPA, CIA, CISA or alike
- Experience or drive to work with data analytical tooling (like IDEA, ACL etc)
- Experience or drive to work ERP packages (preferably SAP S4 HANA)
- Ambitious, flexible, self-managed, team player, culture sensitive
- Able to travel throughout Europe (approx. 20%)
