As a Chemist, you will be responsible for developing advanced materials and formulations for industrial and commercial use in the Collision, Commercial Transportation, and Light Industrial Coating products range. You will conduct laboratory experiments, analyze and interpret results, and communicate findings through written and verbal reports. Collaboration with colleagues, suppliers, and customers is essential. Compliance with regional EU and national quality standards and safety norms, support for different functions, and building relationships with raw material suppliers are also key aspects of this role.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work on the development of advanced materials and formulations for industrial and commercial use.
- Design and execute laboratory experiments to test the performance of coating materials.
- Analyze and interpret experimental results.
- Build and share knowledge about coatings.
- Maintain and communicate results through written and verbal reports.
- Ensure compliance with regional EU and national quality standards and safety norms.
- Independently make decisions on problems and methodology issues and secure necessary resources.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with raw material suppliers, staying updated on their latest market innovations to acquire information for product development and maintenance.
- Work with suppliers and customers to improve final product performance when necessary.
- Cooperate with colleagues and functions within the company and external parties.
- Support the countries/regions sales force in developing valuable products and providing customized paint system information/test results.

**Qualifications**:

- High secondary school or University Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Proactive approach.
- Proven experience in R&D Lab.
- Able to work optimally with all levels of sales, marketing, management, and customers.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple activities.
- Moderate proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Good computer skills (familiarity with Microsoft and other software).
