**GENERAL KNOWLEDGE**

**CONTEXT OF THE JOB AND MAJOR CHALLENGES**:

- The Mechanical Engineer will work inside Mechanical Design department; he/she will be involved in mechanical design & industrialization activities for the development of new product and for the maintenance of launched product.
- Mechanical Engineer will evaluate the right technology to produce components with the right level of quality and at the right cost; he/she will contribute in the production of prototypes in the internal workshop.
- Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the selection of HW architectural solutions.

**MAJOR TASKS**
- Contribution in feasibility activities for the development of new products and in the definition of system/sub-assembly mechanical architecture
- Design and industrialization of mechanical instrument/sub-assembling /components
- Management of external partners
- Estimation of component cost and related technological investment cost
- Setup and programming of standard CNC (milling and turning machining), 3D printer and waterjet machine for the realization of mechanical prototypes
- Assembling of instrument/subassemblies prototypes.
- Teamwork

**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE JOB**
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Knowledge of technological process for manufacturing of mechanical components
- Knowledge of English language
- Experience in Mechanical design and/or CNC programming
- Knowledge of CAD (Solidworks, Creo or similar)
- Knowledge of PDM software (Windchill or similar) is considered a plus
