Head of Payments

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the role is responsible for the Bank's Payments and Cards area, ensuring the efficiency and correct execution of the transactions ordered by customers. He/She will be able to own the initiatives that contribute to the implementation of the bank's strategic plan, to drive solution to the already identified issues and/or the ones that will be raised. He/She will be responsible to management teams, to assign proper targets, measure result as well as create and develop the culture of empowerment and operational excellence. The person will support other teams in any cross function/service, including Transformation/Tribe area on any change requests or projects concerning the Payments and Cards. **Key Responsabilities**: - define and implement the strategy agreed with the management - define the correct organizational structure and sizing of the area - guarantee compliance with the agreed SLA and Regulation and market rules - manage relationships with business lines in order to define and monitor shared operating standards - manage relationships with outsourcers, defining controls and monitoring SLA and measuring results - Contribute to identifying and disseminating the best practices and guidelines of the group within the teams - Responsible for the engagement and culture of the area. Defines the area's training and development plan and supports its implementation with a "continuous process improvement" approach. - responsible for verifying operational and / or organizational processes and supervises the implementation of any corrective actions in line with Regulations and marker rules. - support risk definition and mitigants, audit and compliance review, key control tests ensuring the good governance of the area - Ensure risk management within the area **Requirements**: - University degree - 5+ years’ experience in a leading role within Operations in a complex and international environment - Experience gained within financial industry - Deep knowledge of payment systems and related regulations - Strong track record in operations process re-engineering, optimization and automation - Strong track record in leading roles - Strong track record in project implementation - Fluent in English (written and spoken) **Soft skills** - Inspiring leadership - Excellent interpersonal skills - Influencing and negotiation skills - Strive for operational excellence - Strong cyber security awareness Duration: Permanent Location: Milan
