We focus our itineraries on a slow travel experience. **Job Description**: Italian Itinerary is seeking a highly motivated and experienced social media intern interested in learning about using social media, social media marketing and AI to effectively promote travel design in the tourism industry. This internship presents a unique opportunity for both undergraduate and graduate college students to immerse themselves in the dynamic field of social media marketing, particularly within the vibrant landscape of the Italian travel design industry. We are seeking individuals with a genuine ardor for travel, an inquisitive nature, and a strong eagerness to explore the potential of AI-driven strategies in social media. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is highly preferred. As an integral member of our team, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and expand your skill set while making a valuable contribution to our mission. The primary duties of the social media intern will revolve around nurturing and expanding Italian Itinerary's online presence across diverse platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and potentially TikTok. Additionally, there will be a dedicated focus on harnessing AI tools to enhance digital engagement. This role will provide valuable insights into the intricacies of digital marketing, encouraging creative thinking and the independent management of projects. Intern's responsibilities are as follows: **Primary duties & responsibilities**: - Take responsibility for creating and scheduling posts on Client’s Facebook (FB) page, highlighting the significance of travel design and the transformative essence of slow travel in Italy, while strategically tagging clients, vendors, and partners to amplify the reach of Italian Itinerary's unique offerings. - Update the "How To Use FB for Italian Itinerary" guideline document. - Research, create, and schedule posts on Italian Itinerary's Instagram page. - Update and expand the “How To Instagram for Italian Itinerary” guideline. - Research and utilize AI software to assist in content creation, social media management, and more. - Build a detailed database (on Excel) of gathered information. - Assist in the development of social media marketing materials, spotlighting the intricate process of travel design and the unhurried nature of slow travel experiences. - Participate in specialized online social media marketing training sessions. **Secondary duties & responsibilities**: - Create and manage Italian Itinerary's TikTok page. - Develop a comprehensive "How to Use TikTok for Italian Itinerary" guideline. **Qualifications**: **Requirements**_:_ - Self-driven and proactive. - Experience with social media, marketing, AI tools. - Excellent organizational skills and use of Excel/Word required. - Ability to prioritize and to meet timely deadlines. - Willingness to ask questions and seek help when needed. Additional Information **Notes**: - Fluency in English is required. - The internship is a virtual position. - The internship is NOT financially compensated. We are happy to work with your university to assist you in acquiring university credits. - The internship requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week for a duration of 5-6 months.
