Service Shop Manufacturing Specialist

The shop manufacturing specialist, within Florence Service Shop organization will be responsible for identifying and driving shop continuous improvement. This includes process optimization, in-sourcing and tooling management (both from technical and planning prospective). Moreover she/he will be the focal point in the process of developing part program for CNC and Robotic equipment.

Further responsibilities of the person will be to:

- Work with Cell, Environment, Health, Safety (EHS), Quality Leaders to identify and drive initiatives to improve service shop EHS and Quality performances. Assure that relevant projects are effectively finalized within the established schedule.
- Actively participate to shop NCA/RCA and translate outcomes into process improvement.
- Technically coordinate selection, design and upgraded of shop equipment and tool.
- Develop and maintain smooth process for CNC and robotic units part program development, improving the availability of technical solutions, expanding the in-house capabilities, defining rules for on board part program development.
- Monitor shop fixture/tooling aging cycle and define purchasing strategy balancing cost and availability.

To be successful in this role, you will:

- have a deep Knowledge of main Manufacturing Processes in particular machining
- be fluent in Italian and English.
- have ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- have strong oral and written communication skills.
- have completed Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (or a high school diploma with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing.
- have minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Manufacturing or Repair Engineering Specialist.
- knowledge of turbo-machinery equipment is advantage
- show strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- demonstrate effective problem identification and solution abilities
- Green Belt certified
