**Catholic Religious Education Coordinator**

**Location**: Aviano Air Base, Italy

**Job Summary**:
The Catholic Religious Education Coordinator will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and leading the Catholic Religious Education (RE) program at Aviano Air Base. The role involves curriculum planning, volunteer recruitment and training, event coordination, and administrative duties to ensure a robust and effective RE program.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and manage a comprehensive Catholic Religious Education program.
- Coordinate with the Catholic Chaplain and other chapel programs for integrated faith-based activities.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteer teachers and staff for RE programs.
- Organize and oversee weekly religious education classes, sacramental preparation, and special programs.
- Plan and execute events such as **Vacation Bible School (VBS), Holy Day observances, Advent, and Lenten programs**.
- Maintain RE materials, curriculum resources, and administrative records.
- Ensure compliance with Air Force Chaplain Corps policies and procedures.
- Provide monthly and annual reports on program effectiveness.
- Participate in chapel-wide events, meetings, and planning sessions.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in **Education, Theology, or a related field** (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum **5 years** of experience coordinating or directing an RE program for 60+ students in a military chapel or civilian church setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in **Microsoft Office** and digital administrative tools.
- Must pass a **criminal history background check**.
- Understanding of and ability to work within a **pluralistic religious environment**.

**Work Schedule**:

- Minimum **30 hours per week**, including evenings and weekends.
- Required to work on **some Federal and Italian holidays** for religious observances.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: €15.00 - €18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
