**Protestant Religious Education Coordinator**

**Location**: Aviano Air Base, Italy

**Job Summary**:
The Protestant Religious Education Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing religious education programs for the Protestant community at Aviano Air Base. The coordinator will work closely with the Protestant Chaplain to ensure programs align with faith-based educational goals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and manage a **comprehensive Protestant Religious Education program**.
- Collaborate with the Protestant Chaplain to implement an effective curriculum.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteer teachers and program leaders.
- Organize and lead weekly RE classes, **Children’s Church, Vacation Bible School (VBS), and special seasonal events**.
- Maintain administrative records, event schedules, and educational resources.
- Conduct teacher training workshops and volunteer appreciation events.
- Ensure compliance with Air Force Chaplain Corps policies and local operating instructions.
- Monitor and assess program effectiveness through participant feedback and engagement metrics.
- Attend **chapel staff meetings, advisory council meetings, and faith-based planning sessions**.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in **Education, Theology, or Religious Studies** (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum **5 years** of experience coordinating or directing a Protestant RE program for **60+ students**.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in **Microsoft Office** and digital administrative tools.
- Must pass a **criminal history background check**.
- Ability to work in a **multi-denominational Protestant environment**.

**Work Schedule**:

- Minimum **25 hours per week**, including evenings and weekends.
- Required to work on **some Federal and Italian holidays** for religious observances.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: €15.00 - €18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
