User Experience Manager

**ROLE DESCRIPTION**

As User eXperience Manager within the Silk-FAW Automotive electrical team you will lead the activities related to the user experience definition spreading over all Silk-FAW hyper and super road cars.

The Cockpit Electronics team is responsible for the elements interfacing the car with its passengers, through the definition of a state-of-the-art UX/HMI supported by cutting-edge technologies inside the electronic components and systems, ensuring a breath-taking experience through the main human body senses: visual, audible, tactile, olfactive and even more.

The individual tasks will include to drive the User Experience definition, the Graphical User Interface design, ensuring great and consistent usability, outstanding look&feel and amazing experience. These will also include the creation of functional requirements, implementation and delivery into series production, closely collaborating with partner design studios, Marketing team and Product Development team.
- Manage team to collectively to drive the User Experience definition, the Graphical User Interface design of all our car lines
- Understand business requirements and technical directions and limitations
- Responsible for conducting market surveys and conceiving concepts of breath-talking user experience around our product lines
- Definition of the visual identity of Silk-FAW products
- Coordinate and support requirements gathering from all stakeholders and their translation into detailed technical specifications, especially for (but not limited to) complex in-vehicle Information and Communication systems with world-wide coverage
- Management of partners and suppliers to implement concepts and features on time, on cost, and within quality and functional specifications
- Coordinate and report on current activities, status and issues at a business level
- Envision and constantly conduct identification of future directions, continuously having in sight the improvement and modernisation of the UX and UI concept and design
- Support developing the engineering team by training new colleagues into their new roles and responsibilities
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Several years of coordinating experience in UX/UI
- Experience building design concepts, including its implementation over a series of products
- Extensive understanding and assessment ability of implementation of complex design concepts
- Profound sense of aesthetics paired with technical thinking
- Extensive experience in UX/UI design best practices, especially in a mobile environment (automotive or smartphones)
- A solid grasp on user-centred design and planning, conducting researches, user testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, with usability, accessibility and ergonomics concerns
- Ability to produce formal documentation to a professional standard, efficiently and intelligently
- Organised, systematic and understand the process of fault finding
- Experienced in working with cross-functional teams delivering innovative cutting-edge products and solutions
- Mature, confident and articulate in high pressure scenarios
- Pro-active, self-organised and able to work independently with minimum level of supervision
- Ability to effectively manage time between multiple projects and prioritise
- Naturally technical. Able to employ fundamental engineering principles
- Able to make sound judgements based on balance of risk, when data is not available
- Attention to detail, positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, social and interpersonal skills
- Willing to travel and work flexible hours when required
- Clean driving record
- Passion for the automotive industry and/or technology desirable but not essential
