San Clemente Palace is a luxury five stars hotel Located on a private island in Venice, just 10 minutes from San Marco. San Clemente Palace immerses guests in a 900-year-old building steeped in Renaissance charm and heritage, featuring a series of beautifully restored monastic buildings, a historic 12th-century church, and lush gardens.

We are seeking an **Accounts Payable Specialist** for our hotel.

This role involves managing and processing all outgoing payments to suppliers, vendors, and service providers. Key duties include recording and verifying invoices, coding expenses, ensuring timely and accurate payments, maintaining relationships with vendors, reconciling statements, and contributing to monthly closing and financial reporting. This role requires meticulous recordkeeping, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to ensure compliance with company policies and accurate financial records.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Invoice Processing:
Receive, review, and verify vendor invoices to ensure accuracy in amounts, coding, and terms of payment.
- Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and organized historical records of all accounts payable transactions.
- Vendor Management:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, responding to inquiries, and resolving any discrepancies.
- Reconciliation:
Balance vendor statements against hotel accounts payable records and follow up on missing invoices or credit notes.
- Expense Management:
Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger and cost center accounts, ensuring the correct use of chart of accounts.
- Compliance:
Ensure all payments and processes comply with internal accounting policies, internal controls, and tax regulations.
- Month-End Closing:
Assist with month-end closing processes by completing payable-related journals and posting information to the general ledger.
- Reporting & Audits:
Provide documentation and data for audits and assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- 2-3 years of experience with accounts payable or general accounting. Knowledge Italian language level C2
- Accounting Knowledge:
A solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, including the hotel's specific chart of accounts.
- Attention to Detail:
Meticulous accuracy in processing, coding, and verifying invoices and payments.
- Computer Proficiency:
Strong Microsoft Office knowledge and experience with accounting software and other relevant financial programs for data entry and management: Business Central and Opera preferred.
- Communication Skills:
Effective communication skills to interact with vendors, internal departments, and management.
- Organizational Skills:
Strong organizational skills to maintain detailed records and manage workflows efficiently. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Problem-Solving:
The ability to resolve discrepancies and address financial questions from colleagues.
