The responsibility of the
**Bid Manager **is
**to deliver a winning proposal **according to customer requirements,Alstom processes,
_Ethics&Compliance _Values and
_Signalling Solution _strategy.
He/She ensures that all bids submitted are in line with the QCD (quality cost delivery) objectives and givessupport to the Sales Leader up to the contract award.
The Bid Manager reports
**directly to Bid Management leader **and he/she will
**work in strong liaison withtender team, Sales Leader and all the stakeholders involved**, internal and external.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Ensure compliance with applicable rules, values and instructions **(e.g. Code ofEthics&Compliance, Railways Safety...)
- **Work in close relationship with **Sales leader and **the full tender team **including involved units
- **Prepare the full technical documentation **necessary to submit to Customer (technical description ofoffered solution, project master schedule, draft the price list )
- **Define the offered solution **in order to be compliant with detailed requirement capture and all thestakeholhers’ requirements and strategy
- **Manage QCD **reviews and optimizations. Obtain clear commitments from different actors
- Prepare **risks & opportunities **reviews
- **Keep records of the documentation **produced for tender preparation
- Partecipate to the **contract negotiations**:

- **Manage the budget of tender preparation **cost according to Tender Cost Authorization Process

**REQUIREMENTS**
- **Degree in engineering or science**:

- **At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, or in project management, in sectors such as railway, aviation, defence, naval or within EPC Contractors**:

- **Project management **background, including Risk management and Planning expertise
- Good practices of **costing and financial risks**:

- High communications network, **reporting **capabilities
- High capability to stimulate **efficient team working **to produce the tender documents within a limitedtime period
- Be able to challenge proposals to obtain optimal solutions backed with commitments
- Demonstrate **integrity **and be fully involved in in Alstom Ethics&Compliance Values
- Demonstrate excellent **communication skills **and able to guide, influence and convince others in amatrix organization
- Anticipation and **problem solving**:

- **Sense of urgency **and managing priorities to be compliant with tender execution
- Fluent in **Italian and English**

**PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT**
- Able to understand **Customer needs **and to articulate how the organization can satisfy them
- Provide **documents in time **and in compliance with tender requirements
- **Gross Margin degradation **between tenders and projects
- Compliance with tender **cost budget**:

- **Data updated and recorded **(compliant with processes and legal constraint)
