Poultry Vet Technical Services Manager

**THE POSITION**:
In the position of Poultry Vet Technical Services Manager, you will be the scientific expert and point of contacts for our Sales and Marketing functions and you will guarantee technical support to our organization in the field. Your role will be key in creating additional value to our customers by providing your expertise and all most appropriate tools, data collection and materials to increase internal technical knowledge, promote sales, and support the technical needs of our Poultry Key Accounts in Italy (Vets, Technicians and Farmers mainly).

Our Boehringer Ingelheim office is based in Milan and our Poultry Team manages a technical assistance workshop in Codogno (LO), for the vaccination equipment and other material that we use in the field and in the hatchery to support our customers.

Poultry Vet Technical Services Manager is a field position: you will be active in the field for most of the time, covering mainly the geographical area of Northern and Central Italy, and requiring constant and frequent visits and contacts with all type of stakeholders relevant for the Poultry industry, but mainly with veterinarians, technicians and farmers.

**Tasks and Accountabilities**:
- Support Vets, technicians and farmers in the products adoption and their use in compliance, in order to get the best advantage from them- Support and train Vets, technicians and farmers in the product administration and in monitoring the immunological response to the vaccinations both in the field and in the hatchery- Problem solver in complex situations in field and hatchery conditions- Be the expert for Poultry Technical Services Managers and our Agent for all technical aspects (drawing up and collection of technical material, papers, translations, provide training, etc.); collaborate with the Field Force in order to obtain field information- Contribute to define technical guidelines in alignment with Animal Health Corporate; Support the Corporate's technical strategies for the development of the products and co-operate with Marketing and Sales to develop/propose marketing plans and the technical aspects of promotional materials- Keep relations with Universities (mainly Schools of Veterinary Medicine), Scientific Institutes and public and private Diagnostic Laboratories (mainly Istituti Zooprolilattici Sperimentali) in the animal health area- Attend the major scientific events (National and International) in the industry in order to increase expertise, collect information which is technically useful to increase the value we create for our customers and support our sales ambitions, and to keep yourself constantly up-to-date- Manage clinical trials and produce scientific and information materials to be shared internally and with other countries and Corporate, as well as to draw up technical articles in various industry journals or websites

**Requirements**:
- Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine- At least 1 year of experience in veterinary pharma or feed production industries in poultry sector- Knowledge of the concepts of virology, molecular biology, serology proper use of work equipment, substances and preparations- Languages: Fluent in Italian and Intermediate proficiency in English- Good Knowledge of Ms Office- Basic mechanical skills to carry out maintenance on vaccination equipment would be considered a plus- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proactive attitude and effective communication skills.- Team spirit, positive collaborative behavior at all levels.- Availability to frequent travelling in the Italian territory (mainly North and Centre Italy) and sporadically abroad.- Availability to work occasionally in the evening/night or on Saturday/Sunday.
