**ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT**:
The Contribution Accounting and Donor Financial Reporting (FINC) Branch of the WFP Corporate Finance Division contributes to the organizations’ accountability to donors on the utilization of contributions through support to financial management on accounting for contributions, provision of guidance and preparation and certification of donor financial reports. The branch continues to consolidate its role as a proactive, engaged and global partner, able to truly support and advise both the management and other functions. Efforts in capacity building help to ensure that WFP’s finance staff are empowered and updated on new financial landscapes and latest technologies. As WFP’s donor base expands to new donors such as international financing institutions and the private sector, the need arises for sensitization initiatives to inform new donors on WFP donor financial reporting architect
Accordingly, the branch needs an expertise to augment existing capacity with a focus on proactively engaging with internal and external stakeholders, sensitizing donors on WFP financial architecture, standard donor reporting and coordinate initiatives aim at broadening knowledge of WFP field community on topics processes relating to contribution management and donor reporting. The Unit requires support in the form of a consultant to gather together the Knowledge and Information Management.
**ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The Consultant will be responsible as follows:
1. Develop a strategy for establishment of centralized knowledge acquisition and learning platform on contribution management and donor reporting to
serve as a repository for relevant learning materials as well as reference for donor financial reports
2. Lead the development of learning curricula and knowledge resources relevant to evolving capacity building needs and WFP field community using
available learning platforms and technology play a key role in knowledge integration in the area of donor reporting that can enhance the capacity of WFP
field community through enhanced communication, publications and strengthened knowledge products, including Donor Reporting Knowledge Platform and
Specialized Reporting dashboard
4. Support FINC team in streamlining of donor reporting through synthesizing donor community on WFP corporate standards, standardization of donor
agreement review and raising awareness on importance of contribution oversight to ensure optimal utilization of donor funds.
5. Provide support to the team in the Annual Country Report exercise by ensuring data alignment between the operational and financial sections and
contribute to ACR lessons learnt and action plan. Collaborate with Performance Management team and RB/CO as required on resolution of any pending
issues.
6. Participate in the review of donor agreements making sure that disbursement and reporting conditions negotiated with the donors are in compliance
with the WFP standard rules and regulations in Finance relevant areas.
7. Coordinate the update of the cross-functional guidance materials on topics related to contribution financial management and donor financial reporting
8. Develop means of communication through platforms such as WFP go and Communities with the aim of enhancing information sharing and corporate
awareness of the donor reporting/ contributions management stream
9. Coordinate in liaison with the HR capability branch and where relevant as agreed with the team leads in the Branch on development opportunities for
the unit staff. Such include online self-study materials, face to face training opportunities and/or TDYs, Job swaps etc.
10. Collaborate with Senior Finance Staff such as Chiefs, Regional Finance officers, Finance officers and others on development of content and its update
as required.
11. Other duties as required by the supervisors or Chief of the Unit
**DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT**:
Specific Deliverables on the abovementioned responsibilities to be included in the CST's Performance Appraisal Work plan.
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:
**Education**:
University Degree in English Philology and Literature or communication or others relevant. Knowledge on Economics or Finance is a plus.
