In this role, the Technical Program Manager manages development and deliverables for key programs and customers, and successfully executes the programs against established commitments. Acts as the focal point of contact and manages external and internal communications to cross-functional teams spanning geographical and organizational boundaries. Proactively identifies and escalates issues; drives problems to resolution; identifies and manages risk.- Will work cross-functionally with internal development teams (Sales, Marketing, Field Application Engineers, and R&D) and have exposure and visibility on a global scale throughout the organization. In this role, the Technical Program Manager acts as a key interface of Synopsys with our targeted customers and within our internal development teams to ensure we deliver on our customer commitments to meet their goals and targets.**Key Qualifications**:

- Typically requires BS in CS/EE with 2+ years of experience, or MS in CS/EE
- Strong basic PM skills including:

- Identifies needed resources to achieve timely deliverables
- Maintains and tracks project schedules
- Provides periodic project reports to management
- Identifies and escalates issues to appropriate levels
- Remains calm and composed under high pressure situations
- Drives problem resolution through data-driven, conscious decision making
- Helps teams document and manage risk and scope-change from conception to delivery
- Promotes, implements, and improves team, cross-functional and cross-departmental business and engineering processes and practices.
- A quick learner with ability to adapt to changing environments
- Basic understanding of chip design and design verification methodologies
- Strong verbal and written presentation/communication and organization skills
- Able to travel on occasion for short periods of time, and occasionally work on-site at customer premises as required (as global situations permit).
- Pleasant personality with good customer interface and communication skills

**Preferred Experience**:

- Coordinator of departmental or cross-functional teams’ delivery of a product/service
- Experience scoping and developing project plans
- Experience with successful customer communications including internal and external customers
- Ability to understand technical tradeoffs and provide guidance to teams and customers with mínimal supervision
- Previous experience in a customer facing role (Field Application Engineer, etc) is also highly desirable
- PMP certification would be a plus
