Investment and Project Controller

For the Italian business operated via EIS Italia in Milan, we are looking for an **Investment and Project Controller.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide accurate and timely financial analysis and management reporting, focusing on EIS Italia investments, projects profitability and working capital
- Preparation and financial valuation of business cases, including financial modelling, for organic investment projects and preparation of respective Gate papers and sensitivities to be provided to the EIS and EON Italia Board
- Assessment of regulatory framework and fiscal updates in terms of investments profitability impacts and scenarios
- Monitor the project pipeline in collaboration with sales and business development functions and forecast the mid-term company growth
- Monitor contract management for Capex, commodity supply, sales and O&M contracts, to ensure projects expected profitability
- Preparation of the liquidity planning for the projects and EIS Italy overall in order to address and monitor treasury needs
- Acting as main financial valuation expert within EIS Italia and the wider E.ON Italia, and support colleagues across all functions of E.ON Italia in assessment of new business cases, incl. contribution to valuation for M&A activities

**Requirements**:

- Successful completion of academic studies in the field of business administration, finance or engineering, ideally with a focus on investments/controlling/finance. MBA or other advanced degrees a plus.
- Comprehensive work experience in Investment Controlling or M&A and portfolio management (at least 2-3 years), with relevant exposure to the energy sector, ideally in an international environment.
- Analytical thinker with effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to succeed in a team of highly motivated and talented individuals.
- Strong MS Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Well organized individual with proven ability to perform under time pressure and to juggle competing deadlines.
- Highly reliable character, taking ownership and showing a strong commitment to excellence, including attention to detail and accuracy.
- Open personality and internationally minded; comfortable with working in a start-up environment with very flat hierarchies; highly motivated and willing to roll up sleeves.
- Fluent in English and Italian language
