**Head of Country (EPC) - Milan, Italy**Do you possess demonstrable experience as a Head of Country (EPC) and seeking your next meaningful move? A rare opportunity to join a global leader in the renewable energy sector has become available in my client's team in Milan, Italy. The Head of Country (EPC) role holds budgetary responsibility and is a permanent / staff hybrid working position which requires experience in the management of EPC contracts of utility scale solar PV projects in Italy. Reporting to the Country Manager or Regional Managing Director as Head of Country (EPC), you will be responsible to lead the development and growth of my Client's EPC business in Italy, in alignment with my client's overall strategy, as well as ensuring successful project execution and delivery, by managing the EPC team and collaborating with all relevant stakeholders at my client and in the industry.In addition to delivering projects on budget, on time with no LDs under the EPC contacts and zero accidents, the role of Head of Country (EPC) will involve, but not be limited to:

- Lead the EPC team in Italy to successfully execute projects from concept to commissioning.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive growth of the business in Italy, in line with my client's overall goals and objectives.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors, to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Monitor project budgets and time lines to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Recruit, train, and develop the EPC team to build a highly skilled and motivated workforce.
- Collaborate with other country heads and cross-functional teams to share knowledge and best practices.
- Identify and manage risks to project delivery, including risks related to safety, quality, and environmental impacts.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in EPC processes and practices.
- Represent the company in industry events and forums.

**Essential Skills / Qualifications**:As Head of Country (EPC) you will be expected to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- Electrical Engineer or Civil Engineer bachelor's degree, master's degree will be a plus.
- 7+ years of similar experience essential
- Experience in managing EPC contracts of utility scale solar projects in Italy.
- Deep understanding and negotiating skills of EPC contracts.
- Must possess the experience and ability to navigate and work in a matrix organisation, regional and senior management, investors, internal and external stakeholders. Also must be able to work in multi-disciplinary teams, with the capability to interface efficiently with operational teams of all levels in a technical environment
- Deep understanding of engineering and construction issues and processes
- Deep understanding of commissioning processes in Italy and of DNO requirements
- Deep understanding of project cost analysis and budget follow up processes.
- Ability to think analytically, critically assess requirements and select best approach to meet construction objectives.
- Italian language skills with a strong command of English language skills is essential.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Italy.
