**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**

The position of Global Sun Lenses R&D is the Head of Research & Development function for Sun Lens department in ESSILORLUXOTTICA.
Mission of the role is to synchronize, boost and prioritize technical projects related to Sun Lenses business, Plano & Rx.
Aim of the position is to coordinate different R&D teams (Italy, Europe, US, etc.) to run projects from ideation down to proof-of-concept phase in accordance to phase&gate tool and reach final qualification in accordance with vision performance LAB of Sun Lenses.

Timeline of the project should be designed to match the Organization needs in terms of new technology introduction as well as new products delivery.
“Connecting existing dots” and creating new ones to enlarge technical opportunities is one of the main activities of this position.
The role required perseverance, resilience, ability in managing different teams, creating strong partnerships and collaborations.

**RELATED ACTIVITIES**
- Networking teams to close POC phase for as many complex projects as possible
- Managing multiple regional budgets
- Facilitate brainstorming activities for disruptive and innovative product through whole R&D community

**TECHNICAL SKILLS**
- Technical knowledge in one or more of this field: Materials, Chemicals, Coatings, Molding
- Having managed: team working, team managing, project planning, trial scheduling, problem solving
- Scientific or Engineering background, able to investigate and deeply study specific topics or issues. Multicultural environment, Multinational Organization
