**GENERAL DESCRIPTION**:
Representative of strategic sourcing within assigned category cluster

Drives SYNLAB Procurement Mission of becoming One Procurement Organization based on Category Management

Works in close alignment with Head of Direct Procurement in defining procurement strategy

Leads assigned category cluster(s) on country level with a dedicated country focus and, additionally, supports Sourcing Managers and/or Sourcing Specialists in defining initiatives

Accountable for implementation of global procurement strategy and category strategies within country

Ensures and drives collaboration within Global Procurement and with functional departments of country

Accountable for category related target fulfillment (with focus on global and country procurement savings) and increase of managed spend

Represents Sourcing in audit and litigation

**Managerial tasks**:

- Member of Global Procurement Team
- Disciplinary Lead and development of Sourcing Managers and/or Sourcing Specialists within assigned category cluster(s)
- Escalates to Head of (Direct/Indirect) Procurement
- Representative of strategic sourcing within country to internal and external management level
- Ensures human resource planning, development and professional management of key positions within sourcing team

**Requisiti**:
**PROFESSIONAL SKILLS**:

- Responsible for developing category strategy with Category Manager for assigned categories and accountable for aligning category strategy and initiatives with functional leaders on country level (e.g. Country COO, CIO)
- Drives the Salix and Pre-Sourcing Process in close collaboration and alignment with local functional leaders and within Global Procurement
- Drives cooperation and collaboration with internal stakeholders (Functional Departments) for assigned category cluster(s)
- Gives advice to and challenges Sourcing Managers and/or Sourcing Specialists in regards of category related sourcing and procedures
- Constantly drives the realization of savings, economies of scale (analyses global demand structure), supplier harmonization and category specific objectives
- Accountable for tactical and strategic sourcing processes
- Provides market know-how and supplier information
- Accountable for local tenders, supports global tenders
- Accountable for negotiations / supplier contracts on a country level, supports global negotiations
- Secures sourcing compliance & regulations within country
- In collaboration with Sourcing Managers monitors and evaluates supply risks and develops measures for risk mitigation
- Implementation of Procurement Policy in sourcing team and functional departments (if sourcing is done by functional departments for defined categories).
