**Job Summary**:
As the Finance Director, you will be an experienced individual with overall site responsibility for local finance functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial planning & analysis, tax, and treasury reporting directly to corporate US-based finance leaders.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assume full accountability of Italian financial operations and results
- Maintain a strong control environment and the integrity of financial results
- Ensure compliance with statutory and other local requirements; possess familiarity with US GAAP and accounting principles
- Manage relationships with independent auditors and other third-party service providers, including coordination of external audits and reviews
- Cross-functionally collaborate and influence local and US-based business partners in HR, Legal, Sales, Operations, R&D, etc.
- Communicate clearly with all levels of management
- Drive process improvements and promote a continuous improvement mindset across the finance organization
- Drive full utilization of SAP for finance, automating as much as possible, and in accordance with corporate policy
- Lead, mentor, and develop the local team to ensure employee retention and development
- Manage priorities and deliverables of local team
- Possess a strong working knowledge of local payroll rules, regulation, and processing

**Requirements**:

- A Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting is required (or commensurate business experience); CPA (or equivalent) is preferred
- 10+ years of experience, preferably with US headquartered companies, is desired
- Proficiency with English is required
- Experience with multi-currency transactions
- Experience successfully leading teams
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple and changing priorities
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with all levels of management
- Ability to work with a high degree of integrity, professional judgment, and management of confidential and sensitive information
- Proficiency in SAP ERP system is preferred
