**Purpose of the role**

The content specialist is responsible for the content planning and creation of integrated campaigns. As a creative editor, a content specialist will thrive on successfully developing content ideas that are in line with key messages of our clients and creating that content in such a way that it can be used for owned, earned, paid or shared media.

Key responsibilities and tasks
- Content_
- Drafts a broad range of written materials; primarily thought leadership content such as blog posts, opinion pieces, whitepapers and case studies. But also: media alerts, press releases and interview pitches, ensuring a consistent level of high-quality content
- Reviews content written by colleagues and gives constructive feedback
- Understands and develops knowledge around how to find a good news angle or hook
- Takes a developmental approach to improving writing ability, adapting and refining style to suit the needs of the client
- Client_ _Management_
- Understands client’s business goals, and translates their needs into deliverables and actions
- Identifies creative opportunities within existing accounts, and approaches problems from different perspectives
- Participates in client events to gather information for upcoming content projects if needed
- Is responsible for managing content calendars of retainer campaigns
- Offers thoughtful advice and recommendations to clients and team regarding content strategy, tactics and writing style
- Maintains assigned relationships with clients, establishing self and LEWIS as an invaluable long-term partner for marketing and communications services
- Manages communication with select clients and ensures deadlines and service agreements are met consistently

- Supports account servicing teams with additional content creation support, if needed
- Works cross-functionally with other teams to develop impactful and cohesive content for each client online and in traditional media outlets
- Participates in team meetings to ensure polished content is delivered in a timely manner and helps the team generate fresh ideas during brainstorming discussions

- Work with teams on developing editorial and content strategies for new business proposals
- Participating in new business meetings to pitch content services and work with

perspective new clients to develop content ideas and strategies
- General_
- Regularly attends LEWIS training sessions to enhance skills and develop knowledge
- Day-to-day, ad hoc and project administrative duties

About you
- Relevant experience of working in a B2B, corporate, consumer or digital communications agency environment
- Attention to detail
- Fluent in English
- Creative thinking
- Understanding of client business issues and requirements
- Understanding of market research and analysis
- Ability to delegate effectively
- Calmness under pressure and ability to achieve tight deadlines
- Ability to interact with confidence at board-level with clients
- Proven ability to keep abreast of current affairs and relate them to client situations
