Food Safety and Quality Assurance Technologist

For our young and passionate team, we are looking for an FSQA Technologist who will take a hands-on approach and deliver strategic operational leadership across all aspects of ingredient quality.

**What you'll do**:

- Support the implementation of HelloFresh food safety and quality assurance requirements across HelloFresh Italy Distribution Centre's
- Work closely with the production team in managing food safety and quality from inbounding to dispatch, including ensuring conformance to HelloFresh standards, Food Safety Regulations, GMP, GHP, equipment management standards.
- Implement and support with quality control activities during inbounding and production.
- Oversee and supervise the acceptability of incoming goods based on the specifications defined with the supplier and HelloFresh standards. Communicate with relevant stakeholders in case of serious product food safety and quality non-conformance
- Be responsible for compilation and maintenance of inspection reports and records (ex. GMP records, temp logs, internal audits)
- Conduct transit temperature validation tests and drive improvement of CX based on its data
- Work with the procurement team and our suppliers to proactively manage suppliers' compliance with requirements, review and approve supplier specifications and onboard new suppliers
- Implement corrective/preventative actions arising from internal audits, customer complaints, regulatory visits, Root Cause Analysis or other internal / external processes
- Create and deploy food safety and quality procedures and training programs on core risks across the system ensuring compliance with HelloFresh and local legislative requirements.
- Collaborate with the International FSQA teams on strategic projects successfully adopting and implementing these locally
- Monitoring all quality data for trends, themes, identifying opportunities for improvement and developing solutions within the Distribution Center and customer delivery segment of the supply chain.

**What you'll bring**:

- Higher education in Food Science or similar discipline
- 1-3 years proven experience in food safety / quality role in warehousing and/or food manufacturing
- Experience working in a GMP facility and familiarity with HACCP principles
- Internal Audit experience, ideally implementing a GFSI standard
- Intermediate/Advanced MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
- Good command and usage of data to make informed decisions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong Knowledge of italian food government regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Energy, enthusiasm, commitment and a can-do flexible attitude
- Embraces change, challenge and working in an autonomous way
- Previous experience in an international setting is a plus
- Excellent English skills required
