(source: Newsweek ) **Job Overview** **Responsibilities** - Provide visionary leadership to create a positive, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment that reflects the values and mission of the school. - Oversee the implementation of the IB PYP curriculum, ensuring alignment with best practices in international education and the unique needs of our student body. - Foster a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and continuous improvement among staff members through effective coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities. - Cultivate strong partnerships with parents, guardians, and the broader community to support student learning and well-being. - Lead the recruitment, hiring, and retention of highly qualified and dedicated teaching staff. - Implement data-driven approaches to assess student progress, identify areas for improvement, and develop targeted strategies to support student success. - Promote a positive school culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, and ensures the well-being and safety of all students and staff members. - Manage school operations, including budgeting, scheduling, facilities management, and compliance with regulatory requirements. - Serve as an ambassador for the school, actively engaging with stakeholders and representing the school's mission and values in the broader community. **Qualifications** - Master's degree in Education or related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in educational leadership, with a strong preference for experience as a primary school principal. - Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the IB PYP curriculum and philosophy. - Proven track record of effective leadership, including the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower others. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members. - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. - Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth, with a willingness to engage in ongoing professional development related to educational leadership, IB programs, and innovative pedagogical practices. - Immaculate police check(s). **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience working in an international school or diverse cultural environment. - Previous experience with curriculum development, assessment, and data analysis. - Certification as an IB PYP educator or administrator. - Right to work in Italy (EU passport or valid Italian work VISA). **Equal Opportunity Employer** We are an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity at our school. H-FARM International School Venezia is the “founder” of the H-FARM International schools; it is the beginning of our story. The campus is located in the heart of the **Sile River natural park** in an area known as Ca’ Tron, one of the largest single agricultural estates in Italy, which borders the **Venetian lagoon**. It is in a strategic position in Italy’s northeast region and is just 12km from Venice’s Marco Polo airport, 20km from Treviso, and 50km from Padova. The school is an **IB World School** and provides the three IB continuum programmes (**PYP, MYP, and DP**), providing education to students from 3 to 18 years old.
