Role Overview

**We are looking for**:
Process Engineer for the R&D Pilots units in Italy to support R&D in product development scale up from conceptual to pilot plant scale with the best practice of industrial sites in mind.
The incumbent will be responsible to support pilot plants in providing technical & design documentation, like data sheets, and helping the department in all phases of new plants start-up / existing plants improvements implementation

**We count on you for**:

- Work in close collaboration with R&D, providing coordination with the pilot unit managers, sharing priorities and work programs
- Take care of improvement programs in term of plants capability, HSE and process innovation
- Support new pilot units design, commissioning and start-up, with personal and innovative contribution.
- Collaboratively interact and share expertise inside the team, contribute to the training of operators
- Provide technical solutions for improvements of existing units
- Support the Pilot unit manager and the research scientists in the follow up of lab tests and activities
- Support the Pilot Technical Services in planning maintenance and reliability improvements on existing units
- Deploy the Digitalization tools in the Pilot Plant unit, in collaboration with the R1I DIgital team and the Manufacturing Excellence team

**You will bring**:

- Experience in unit operations design (distillation, other separation, heat exchange, multi-phase reactors, etc.). Confidence with phase equilibria problems, thermodynamics and chemical kinetics.
- Good practice with Safety design criteria, compliance with HSE regulations
- Flexibility and curiosity to learn in a rapidly evolving environment
- Planning skills
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivation and attitude to teamwork
- Language mandatory Italian & English
- Experience in process equipment & rotating machines (pumps, compressors, stirrers and related details)
- Experience in process Instrumentation (both field instruments and user’s interfaces (DCS, PLC, etc.)
