**Job description**
SAFILO is looking for a **Global Merchandising Strategies Specialist** to join our Category Management Team in PADUA HQ.

The context is a global business, composed by a wide and differentiated portfolio of brands.

The person in this role will play an active part in the management of the collections assortment supporting brand and design teams in choices of product management guided by a global Portfolio strategy.

In line with responsibilities of the role, Global Merchandiser will work on data analysis and sales observations, being involved actively in the usage of innovative digital tools. The continuous monitoring of markets and competitors will require to maintain a stable collaboration with countries and key accounts.

The role is deeply based on dynamic and cross-functional interactions.

**Activities**:
The activities in the role will be mainly addressed to support the Category management in:

- Defining and executing at global level the portfolio merchandising strategies by gathering input from brand teams
- Collecting of markets needs and projects
- Analyzing product performance, highlight assortment overlaps or white spaces and opportunities
- Defining the portfolio price strategy and specific recommendations according to brands goals or markets needs
- Managing product lifecycle through collection analysis and line review processes on a quarterly basis and definition of follow-up actions
- Monitoring continuously market trends thru regular retail shop visits, gathering market intelligence from a wide variety of sources
- Providing analysis of relevant competitors in key markets
- Supporting brand management and product/design team in product development and merchandising choices
- Collaborating with demand planning in monitoring the product launch phase
- Working closely with sales operations and KA teams to significantly support sales and assortment efficiency
- Working in synergy with Data & Analytics team to develop the digital tools aiming to support analysis and merchandising activities

**Required skills**:

- Master degree Marketing or related field or equivalent experience
- Passionate of marketing, curious about products and interested on customers behaviors and markets peculiarities
- Business-oriented attitude and sharp attention to details
- Attitude to partner with business teams and understand their core business processes from a commercial perspective
- Proficiency in English (B2 or more) to efficiently interface with stakeholders across the company
- Preferred experience with data discovery tools (e.g. Tableau) and knowledge of eyewear industry or experience in fashion accessory field
- Location: Padova
- Travel may be required
- Smart working: 2 days /week
