**Role Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Teaching & Learning_
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Biology lessons aligned with the British National Curriculum, IGCSE, and A Level specifications.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Prepare students thoroughly for external examinations, ensuring a strong understanding of practical and theoretical aspects of Biology.
- Incorporate practical experiments, fieldwork, and modern technology into lessons to enhance scientific inquiry and critical thinking.
- Student Assessment & Progress_
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress through regular formative and summative assessments.
- Provide individualized feedback and support to students to help them achieve their academic potential.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievements and communicate progress with parents and school leadership.
- Curriculum Development & Innovation_
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Biology curriculum.
- Integrate current scientific research, sustainability topics, and ethical considerations into lessons.
- Foster students' curiosity and passion for Biology through extracurricular activities such as science clubs, competitions, and educational trips.
- Professional Development & Collaboration_
- Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and whole-school initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and enhance the STEM curriculum.
- Stay updated with the latest educational trends and scientific advancements.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Essential_
- A degree in Biology or a related field.
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Experience teaching Biology at secondary level, including IGCSE and A Level.
- Strong knowledge of practical laboratory work and experimental procedures.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
- Desirable_
- Experience teaching in an international or British school setting.
- Passion for extracurricular science activities and the ability to mentor students for science competitions.
