Transport/Logistics/Container Handling**Purpose of the job**:
As Shift Leader, you are the overall responsible person for the operations and operational safety during the assigned shift. You are key driver to:

- Build and execute the shift plan(s)
- Achieve operational KPI’s (yard, vessel, rail)
- Ensure compliance with safety & security policies
- Lead planning, execution and quality.

**Summary of your responsibilities**:

- Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with safety regulations by all those operating or transiting the terminal: employees, contractor workers, visitors, drivers
- Be an active participant in maritime security enforcement (ISPS)
- Ensure that operations are carried out in accordance with plans and work orders received in order to achieve operational objectives (yard, ship, rail).
- Implement received yard planning and ensure effective yard management
- Ensure order and cleanliness in warehouses, sheds and yards.
- Carry out and ensure that operations are carried out according to the staff planning proposal received, make changes according to operational needs, and report adjustments to the staff planning department.
- Approve overtime and/or arrange shifts during operations as needed.
- Identify potentials and professional development opportunities for operators and support their training

**Your profile**:
We are looking for an experienced operational person who can drive a team to excel while maintaining safety standards.

5-10 yrs of operational supervision/managerial role

Understanding of logistics/port operations is a plus

Fluent in Italian, Intermediate spoken Englis, other languages are a plus

Good ability to use IT system, understanding of terminal operating systems is a plus

Your workplace will be located on-site at our terminal and will require work on shifts with a roster 24/7. Due to the nature of the job’s responsibilities, remote working will not be possible

**Other Requirements**:
Valid EU work permit

Willing to relocate to Trieste at short notice.
