BEING A TRAINEE IN H&M**

We are running a **BUSINESS TRAINEE PROGRAM** within the H&M - Italy 12 month long. You will get a unique possibility to kick-start your career with us, meet many inspiring colleagues, create a global internal network, develop your personal competences while having access to a huge amount of data on how a large company works and is structured.

As a trainee you will get a broad introduction to our company from where the core business starts and comes to life: the store going through our Central and Area Offices. In any case you will be able to add your own value from day one.

We will provide you with a mentor to coach you and help you navigate and develop day by day.
**WHAT WE ARE PREPARING YOU TO BECOME: BUSINESS CONTROLLER AT H&M**
Being a Business Controller at H&M means focusing just as much on business and profitability as on motivating your team to do the same.

At H&M, you will play an important role within your Area’s Management Team. You are responsible for the whole process - from analysis and setting targets to follow-up and profitability. No matter if you manage and monitor financial control systems for your business Area, or develop and implement methods, systems and decision-making models - everything you do will be about creating great results and making great business
**As Business Controller your main responsibilities’s areas are**:
**Sales & Profit** Together with the Area Team you are responsible for reaching the Sales & Profit goals in your Area by securing that the stores deliver a Great Customer Experience.
**People & Teams** Acting as a leader with and knowledge based a strong analytical focus approach; you support Stores and the Area Team to enable Great Teams from a controlling perspective.
**SOME OF THE CHALLENGES YOU WILL FACE IN THIS ROLE**
- You will create sales plans and follow up on sales to identify and highlight future opportunities by optimising our in-store sales
- You will maximise profitability by acting on the analysis for your business unit
- Working as part of a team, you will maximise the achievement of goals and results by communicating clearly with your team
- You will be involved in the whole process from analysis and definition of short-term objectives to follow-up and construction of long-term strategies
- Support your Area Team members with clear analysis to support their development and actions
- Educate Store Management and Area Team members on all aspects of controlling
- Collaborate regularly to your Stores and Area with support functions at the Country Support Office
**BUSINESS CONTROLLER TRAINEE PROGRAM STRUCTURE**

The Trainee Program focuses on the acquisition of Controlling skills.

It will be divided into two phases:

- First Phase: Onboarding and Welcome to the Company - Store Introduction Training
- A path built into 5 months in which you can receive an onboarding and introduction step, where you can discover our Company set up, focusing into Introduction Training in Store. After a training path there will be the possibility to approach to a Mentorship Plan with a Senior SM.
- Second Phase: Business Controller Introduction Training
- This is a 7 months stage where you will receive a specific business controller introduction training by receiving specific and cross-functional training steps from several Head Office and Area Office Trainers who belongs to several functions that represent all the internal stakeholder of the Business Controller role.
