To better address this goal we feel the need to be more present on the field to enhance awareness growth and Improve linkage to care of PLWIHV through non-promotional activities, such as raising education of a disease, encouraging appropriate screening program, advocating the linkage of diagnosed patients into specialist care and similar activities. **Job Description**: We have the following exciting opportunity: Community Affairs Manager Reporting to the Community Affair Lead, The Community Affair Manager will lead at local/regional level on Gilead’s HIV disease education/linkage to care program. He/She will be responsible for supporting the process of raising disease education, encouraging appropriate screening programs, advocating the linkage of diagnosed patients into specialist care (“linkage to care”) and similar activities to accomplish the goal of HIV elimination. He/she identifies opportunities to enhance patient engagement through non-promotional activities (e.g. support educational event from 3rd parties, enhance linkage between Screening Points and Infectious Disease Centers). In his role he/she works closely with cross-functional teams (filed and office based), supports strategy development and executes tactics that will help to reach out to underserved HIV infected individuals with medical need to access treatment. He/she is also responsible for establishing working relationships with non ID KOLs and HCPs, with patient advocacy groups (PAGs) and coalitions, and other environment where Identify actions, tools and materials to improve the PLWHIV QoV and to promote the emergence of patients unaware of their condition He/She develops internal and external communication strategies to drive visibility of community advocates’ priorities related to disease education and awareness, disease prevalence, screening, linkage and retention into care. Key Responsibilities - active involvement of stakeholders in the care process within the National Health System to ensure a high level of linkage to care - Be up to date no trends, industry dynamics, opportunities and changes in the therapeutic landscape - Collaborates with office-based and field cross-functional teams with to develop and implement BPOA activities - Actively gains customer insights, providing timely follow-up on commitments and requests - Develop significant professional relationships with all appropriate stakeholders - Operate in compliance with all laws, regulations and policies Knowledge, Experience & Skills Excellent knowledge of Italian and English language skills; Academic degree (Master a must with 8+ years of experience; PhD a plus); Experience in the healthcare/pharmaceutical sectors; policy, public affairs and/or market access experience. Proven ability to understand and clearly communicate policy, scientific and economic topics to political and policy stakeholders Well-developed understanding of the Italian healthcare and pharmaceutical policy environment.
