Hse Advisor

Wood is recruiting for a **HSSE&S Advisor **to join its Projects - Process and Chemical team focusing on engineering, procurement and construction of complex plants in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industries. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to **work from home up to two days per week.**

**The Role**

Reporting to the Home Office HSSE&S Manager, you will be part of the HSSE&S team working to ensure the implementation of the Company’s Health & Safety, Security, Environmental and Sustainability management system, and the delivery of Wood’s HSSE&S goals.

You will also be involved in site visits to construction sites, to give technical assistance during the execution of the projects.

**Typical responsibilities**
- Develop inputs to proposals, including narratives and statistical data
- Support office-based projects
- Provide back-office support to field-based projects
- Provide advice and guidance to the business project managers
- Collate and analyse statistical data, and propose improvement actions where signaled
- Undertake audits and office inspections
- Investigate incidents
- Maintain the business' local HSE Management System in line with Corporate requirements, updating and developing procedures, guidance, etc., as required
- Develop HSSE&S communications, campaigns, etc.
- Deliver training on HSSE&S matters
- Visit construction sites to give technical assistance to construction team and to execute audits.

We are looking for both **newly graduates or skilled professionals **(3-5 years of experience) in a similar role.

**Expected**:

- Educated to degree level in engineering or other technical disciplines.
- Previous experience in HSSE&S related roles
- Self-motivation, flexibility, a proactive outlook and good communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of Italian HS&E legislation
- Good understanding of HSSE&S issues on projects and within offices
- Good literacy and numeracy skills, including report writing skills
- Ability to prioritise work and work within defined deadlines
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office package
- Confident, proactive, and highly motivated in seeking and undertaking new tasks and responsibilities
- Fluent in English / good italian

**Desirable**:

- A previous work experience in a similar role.
- Internal Auditor ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
