We are an exciting new international marketplace platform, designed for the têxtile industry. We connect têxtile machinery manufacturers with têxtile production companies in order to showcase the most sustainably innovative têxtile machinery available today. We have already launched in several markets, including Turkey, Bangladesh, and India, and we're currently launching in others, including China, Italy and beyond.
Our company is founded by international entrepreneurs, all of whom have significant experience and expertise in manufacturing, gained at senior C-Suite and Board level. We have global investment partnerships set up with in-country banks, and our revenue is generated through têxtile machinery manufacturers, on both a subscription basis and single transactions.
Our aim is to make the latest and most sustainable manufacturing technology accessible globally to all sizes of têxtile manufacturers. Our platform is rapidly gaining traction with both têxtile and machinery manufacturers, and to help fuel our growth and manage potential clients and customers, we are now looking for a Country Business Development Director in Italy.
**The Role**
We are looking for a commercially-focussed Textile Engineer, or ex-Textiles Engineer who's moved into General Management, Sales, a Commercial role or senior operational position, who wishes to be part of a new and exciting startup. You'll definitely have a degree, or equivalent, or post-grad in Textile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
**Key responsibilities will include**:
- Building strong client relationships with factories, workshops, and machinery distributors,
- Identifying business opportunities through market analysis
- Driving sales from strategy to execution.
It goes without saying that you’ll relish the thought of being part of the growth of a tech startup, being able to make an impact quickly, and working with both têxtile and machinery manufacturers.
**About You**
You will have the following:
**Technical Knowledge**
- Production Processes: Knowledge of têxtile production stages and how machines improve efficiency and quality.
- Technological Innovation: Awareness of trends like automation, sustainability, and digitization in têxtile machinery.
**Commercial Skills**
- Sales Management: Experience in negotiation, closing deals, and client follow-up.
- Relationship Building: Ability to establish strong relationships with clients (factories, workshops, distributors).
- Market Analysis: Identifying business opportunities and developing market strategies.
**Market Knowledge**
- Textile Industry: Familiarity with key players, trends, and challenges in local têxtile markets.
- Customer Needs: Understanding clientsʼ pain points and offering tailored solutions.
**Education**
- Background in têxtile, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
**Other**
- Languages: Proficiency in English - you must able to conduct a business conversation.
- Travel Availability: Willingness to visit clients and attend industry events.
