**Position Summary**:
For Cantel Medical Italy, now part of STERIS Group, we are looking for a **Buyer** to join our Team based in Pomezia (RM).

The Buyer will be responsible to handle the purchasing activities in compliance with company procedures. Main responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, tracking orders, creating and maintaining adequate inventory levels and liaising with inventory teams and manufacturing to minimize stock out and supply chain risks. The buyer will work closely with other departments to support the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on demand and production schedule.

**Duties**:

- Process purchase orders and follow up deliveries
- Source for new potential suppliers and negotiate rates
- Monitor inventories and ensure they are kept at appropriate levels
- Maintain and update supplier vendor list
- Work towards department KPI’s
- Work closely with Planning, Manufacturing, Warehouse, Quality, R&D, Regulatory as required
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Trouble shot all issues that may occur at any stage of the procurement process

**Education Degree**:

- High School Diploma or GED- Bachelor's Degree**Required Experience**:

- 1 year working experience, preferably in Procurement, Supply Chain or Operations
- Good English written and spoken
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office suite)
- Proactivity, critical thinking, problem solving skills
- Positive and resilient attitude
- Team work approach
- Knowledge of Oracle would be a plus
