This position is a key and pivotal role for Polestar Italy. The role leads the sales team that will be fully responsible for the management of and response to all inbound sales leads via digital and personal interaction. The role will focus on the retail aspect of the Polestar Italy business model and support other sales channels as needed. The person in the role will also manage the inside sales team and support their continual growth and development. The role is in Milan, there will be some travel required and a mix of office and hybrid working.

**What you’ll do**

As the Retail Sales Manager at Polestar Italy, you will play a pivotal role in driving our success. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the implementation and achievement of the annual national volume plan through the innovative retail sales channel. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the inside sales team, ensuring that all customers are promptly contacted and cared for within S.L.A. parameters. You will take the lead in interacting with all new Polestar sales inquiries, lead gen and nurturing, providing an exceptional customer experience. Collaborating closely with all Polestar Space Managers (currently Milan and Rome), you will actively develop the retail sales channel and explore new business opportunities to further our growth. To build brand awareness, you will work closely with the customer experience manager, sales manager, fleet manager, operations manager and marketing manager, implementing a multi-point approach. Leveraging our financial services partner, you will maximize the potential from the private consumer market within the retail sector. To engage our customers further, you will arrange on-site customer retail events at a Space locations. By directly managing inside sales team within the customer engagement center, you will optimize handovers per month, aligning with expected market seasonality. A data-driven mindset will be essential in making informed decisions and achieving pre-set K.P.I.'s. Additionally, you will take on ad-hoc projects as requested by the market lead, showcasing your proactive and solution-oriented approach always having in mind the commercial return. Your dedication and leadership will be instrumental in securing Polestar's triumph in this dynamic and transformative automotive landscape.

Additionally, you will:

- Implement and achieve the annual national volume plan through the retail sales channel.
- Manage the inside sales team and ensure prompt customer contact within S.L.A. parameters.
- Develop and lead interactions with new Polestar sales inquiries including the generation and nurturing of leads.
- Serve as a role model as a sales manager for the retail sales network and inside sales team
- Assist in hiring decisions in both teams
- Train both teams in sales, product, and brand
- Create sales dashboard in order to track the team activities, orders, handovers, performances, KPIs throughout Salesforce
- Support and consult the ongoing negotiations of the team
- Oversee the pending financial requests with our main Financial Service Providers

- Completed a high school degree or higher, for example in Economics, Management, Sales, or equivalent
- Several years’ experience in a Leadership or Coaching role within sales
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Italian
- Business level of English is required
- Knowledge and/or work experience from the automotive industry, inside sales team, and retail management is mandatory
- Experience with sales C.R.M. tools (Salesforce is the preference)
