Our 4 expertise: Asset management Energy transition services Energy supply & global commodities Risk management & market access At GEMS we encourage breakthrough results, team spirit, curiosity and innovation while preserving the right work/life balance for you. **Context**: **Role**: As a Structured Green Power Originator your key responsibilities within the team will be: - Develop the green power and guarantee of origin business (prospecting, building commercial pipeline and closing deals) focusing on: - Identify, create, explore, analyze and follow up (structured) opportunities in Italian Upstream PPA with Engie projects and with third party ones, - Support the Downstream sales team in structuring and drafting the downstream PPA offers; - Key Contribution to the representation of green power assets in the new deal capturing and risk monitoring system in the implementation phase (12 months); - Develop, originate and implement risk management solutions to support the growth of GEMS’ renewable power portfolio in Italy, - Understand the pricing methodologies and models and collaborate to the development of the relevant models in close collaboration with the power portfolio and pricing team. - Follow legislative and market structural changes in the Italian markets impacting GEMS’ green power business - Lead opportunities from inception until close (and beyond), managing the client’s relationship, negotiating terms. - Play a key coordination role to help deals progress with all internal stakeholders (market risk, credit risk, legal, compliance, pricing team, etc.). - Provide technical market knowledge and commercial support to implement contracts properly, while ensuring a very good coordination of the different counterparties involved. This is a front office role, working in a dynamic trading floor environment and in close collaboration with trading, quants, risk, legal, and other origination teams. **Key Requirements**: 3-5 years of experience in the energy market, with relevant experience in origination. Track record in Italian green power. Master degree in quantitative discipline (engineering, economics, finance, etc.). Deep connections with the markets. Solid knowledge of the Italia power system and markets. Knowledge of pricing models, risk metrics, physical and financial energy products and contracts (PPA, derivatives, etc.), main master agreements. Commercial and negotiation skills. Strong analytical skills. Result-oriented, hands-on approach and ability to manage multiple workflows. Reliable, rigorous and detail-oriented. Team player, communicate easily and ability to interact/cooperate with a variety of different profiles (portfolio manager, analysts, sales, risks, support functions, etc.). **Reporting to**: - Operational line : he/she reports to the Structuring & Origination Mgr within BP Italy - Functional line : he/she is part of the Commercial EC **Languages** Fluent in English and Italian **Location**: Rome **Type of contract**: Local contract according to Italian labour law.
