V2x Engineering Leader

The V2X Engineering Leader is responsible for assessing and integrating state-of-the-art Precision Electronics and Embedded Systems practices into the new product introduction initiatives for the CNH Digital Office. Success of the business is dependent on our ability to effectively address the sophistication and complexity of our whole goods and technologies in a robust, reliable and consistent manner to engineers, management and customers.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for Core Vehicle to Everything Communication Technology Stacks within CNHi
- Build a strong tools and technology team comprised of a mixture of internal and external resources
- Responsible for determining which Portions of the V2X Technology Stacks are Developed Internally vs through partners globally
- Work with Stakeholder Software Engineering teams to own core technology components quality, roadmap and deployment
- Spearhead improvements in production and development pipelines, delivering solutions to increase product development teams productivity
- Directly manage managers and engineers, developing them into strong contributors and leaders
- Interface with external groups across Core Technology Vendors and our partners to provide integration support, strategy, and direction
- Set team standards and best practices for documentation and software engineering
- Oversees the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies for market fit, capability and quality
- Maintain a strong collaborative work relationship with fellow developers across engineering, product management, Systems Engineering, Verification, DevOps, and Product Validation Teams
- Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
- Drive platform and subsystem leverage across the entire product portfolio to achieve efficiency and effective implementation
- Ensure the Quality Systems are understood, implemented, and maintained within the department
- Maintain effective communication with the business sector leadership team, team members and functional leadership in all activities required to design, develop and deliver the product successfully
- Investigate, implement, and deploy software through Precision Electronics & Embedded Systems Development Teams

YOUR KEY COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Master’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of managerial experience, or Advanced Degree with a minimum 13 years prior relevant experience, minimum of 10 years of managerial experience including Globally distributed teams
- Ability to understand business and technical requirements to lead teams around a common vision to execute
- Proven track record in New Product Introduction
- Experience in deployment of products and solutions through cross-functional teams in a global environment
- Expertise of managing engineering efficiency & velocity, including assessments, coaching, and process implementation to ensure optimized output across internal and external resources
- Experience with creating and managing software requirements. Understanding requirements for releasing On/Off highway embedded firmware, software and hardware
- Demonstrated ability to influence in areas outside of direct control (product roadmap, finance, marketing, operations)
- Comfortable in a global matrix organization, including indirect functional engagement with product development processes, quality systems and the senior leadership
- Excellent communication skills, including ability to communicate across all levels of the organization both technical and non-technical (fluent English)
- Experience with products and/or technologies similar to those in Semi-Autonomous Vehicles (in terms of systems complexity)
