**About the role**

The Associate Manager must take on a Contract Manufacturing / Direct materials Procurement Operations leadership role to deliver Contract Manufacturing / Direct Materials Procurement objectives (these include among others Customer Service, Quality, Cost Savings, Cash improvements, compliance and more). The results are delivered by using proficient Procurement operations skills, a ‘can-do’ attitude and ability to build relationships internally and externally that help to influence across functional, cultural and hierarchical boundaries.

**About the Team/Department**

**Responsibilities**:

- Contract Manufacturing / Direct materials Procurement Operations Responsibility for a set of suppliers within the region for a specific category.
- SRM - supplier relationship management process including day-to-day management of suppliers, development and execution of SLAs (Service level agreements), management of the relationship between suppliers and internal stakeholders, pro-active management of supply, financial and quality risks.
- Collaborate with the Procurement Portfolio team to support the development of regional contract manufacturing sourcing strategies for a set of technologies.
- Collaborate with the Procurement Portfolio to identify and implement cost savings programs.
- Work cross-functionally act as contract manufacturing / direct materials Procurement single point of contact in New Product Development and Cost saving projects;
- Manage and foster key senior management relationships within the area;
- Seek and share best practices and develop synergies in key areas such as market analysis, cost modeling, risk analysis, benchmarking and development of Procurement Strategies;
- Support introduction and roll-out of process optimizations within Contract Manufacturing / Direct Materials Procurement;
- Support regional RFIs and RFPs;
- Execute / lead assigned projects in a timely manner;
- Produce periodic reports as required.

**Experience you’ll bring**:

- University degree, ideally Business Administration or Engineering
- Full proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading English;
- Excellent communication skills to describe problems, coordinate people and meetings to resolve issues and ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally, at all levels;
- Ability to successfully negotiate and deliver optimal SLAs through the development of strong business relationships and strategic alliances;
- Ability to work independently and manage results including business knowledge needed to achieve business targets;
- Excellent negotiation, financial analysis, problem solving and project management skills;
- Analytical mindset, with good finance and cost saving understanding;
- Capability to focus on delivering requested service to internal customers;
- Ability to execute defined strategies;
- MS skills (Excel / Word / Power Point) and SAP knowledge.

**Behaviors you’ll need**:

- 5+ years of experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain
- Work experience in a multinational environment strongly preferred
- Experience with direct material procurement or contract manufacturing procurement preferred
- Broader Supply Chain Experience preferred
- Knowledge of FMCG business
- Command of Italian language nice to have
- Travel 10% -15%, depending on business needs
- Able to work virtually in a matrix organization
