Then join the Sustainability Team of RWE Renewables Europe and Australia and help us making RWE greener, bigger and more valuable. Our team coordinates and drives the sustainability strategy and activities in our onshore wind, solar PV and battery business in Europe and Australia, with focus on 4 core topics: Biodiversity, Social Responsibility, Climate Change and Circular Economy

**Your future plans**
- Continuously evolve sustainability strategy for the 4 core topics (Biodiversity, Social Responsibility, Climate Change and Circular Economy), including assessing current performance, reviewing the ambition level in line with the overall strategy and outlining the initiatives to achieve the ambition
- Own and drive initiatives that help fulfil our sustainability ambition, including:

- Defining and launching new initiatives in cooperation with the wider business
- Driving delivery of selected initiatives yourself, acting as project manager
- Steering a portfolio of initiatives owned by others to ensure their progress, reporting regularly on budget, time, quality, impact, etc.
- Sharing best practices across colleagues from all business functions working on sustainability initiatives
- Provide direction and expert advice on the 4 core topics
- Act as point of contact for RWE Group and other RWE Units on circularity & GHG
- Represent our business with various external stakeholders in the respective field through proactive networking

**Your profile**
- Completed university studies in engineering, environmental sciences, business administration or similar fields
- Several (5-10) years of professional experience in the field of sustainability (corporate or consulting) and/ or in the renewables industry
- Passionate about sustainability. Knowledgeable of global sustainability trends, frameworks and tools of relevance for the position. Deeper knowledge of at least 2 of the core topics described above
- Strong analytical mind, able to structure ambitions/ targets into initiatives and plans
- Track record of leading projects with international teams, with the ability to motivate colleagues towards successful outcomes
- Skilled in structured communication, both written and spoken, comfortable with independently preparing recommendation documents for senior stakeholders
- Business fluent in English. German and additional languages of advantage
- Willingness to regular travel, incl. international travel
