To support the teams who are powering this ecosystem we have a global Corporate division consisting of departments including Legal, Finance, Marketing and Sales, Strategy, Human Resources, Central Services and PR and Communications.

Our Economics Team is now seeking a talented Economic Intelligence Intern to join the Matrix Economic Insight team. Some of the essentials for you to know are:

Department Size: 9 (Approx.)

Reporting into: Economics Manager

Role Purpose:
Within the Economics Department, the Economic Intelligence Intern will help monitor industry trends and competitor performance, carry out qualitative and quantitative analysis on the macro environment, industry market and competitive landscape, and support the team in the development and implementation of strategic projects.

Here is a breakdown of what you’ll be doing:

- Sourcing, analysing & reporting on the latest industry & market news
- Contextualising YNAP performance vs. benchmarks and wider industry performance
- Support the development of an effective communications model, to ensure economic intelligence is shared across the company and is available in a timely manner for key decision takers
- Support in continuously improving the performance of economic intelligence, including capturing new customer requirements, identifying new data sources, evaluating new data vendors, etc.

The type of person we are looking for:

- A degree in economics, management, finance, marketing, engineering or similar fields
- Comfortable managing & analysing large amounts of data in MS Excel, or similar tools
- Ability to communicate effectively with other colleagues and with external parties
- Language skills: Fluency in English is mandatory
- Good knowledge of Power Point
- Change embracer with a proactive attitude and solid work ethics
- Passion for e-commerce and marked inclination for Internet and hybrid business models
