Global Production Controller

For an important **International Group** (**Food industry**) based in **North Eastern Italy** we are looking for a **GLOBAL PRODUCTION CONTROLLER - FMCG**

The Global Operations Controller oversees correct, efficient, and transparent cost of goods standards for all type of products and handles monthly and yearly closing as well as budgeting and forecast processes of the whole Operations Unit, with production facilities in the Company sites.

Furthermore, regular controlling of the fixed and variable production cost with the intent to optimize them together with the production team is key. This requires strong financial leadership skills (strategic thinking, excellent communication and collaboration skills, in-depth production, and supply chain knowledge) while working closely with the central finance and commercial teams.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for actuals reporting and financial forecasting of the Operations PL, BS, and Cash Flow for budget and midterm plan. Analysis of financial results with proposal of necessary actions. The global supply chain financial analyst is supporting this while close cooperation and alignment with the local finance teams is required.
- Owns the product standard costing for all products (finished products, marketing equipment, trade food, machines), set standards for all production sites and ensures compliance.
- Monitors production costs and variances through regular review and analysis and identifies areas for cost reduction.
- Works with the local plant teams on continuous improvement of conversion costs, benchmarking vs. best in class
- Proposes and prepares solid business cases as needed, (e.g., make vs. buy)
- Tracks actual performance of investments / costs vs. business cases and budgets. Aligns and drives for corrective actions and improvements as needed.
- Manage all target costing activities for the Group and define processes and create internal group wide controlling policies
- Implements and monitors relevant Production KPIs
- Finance Business Partner for the COO and the Head of Production in Vicenza with reporting line to the Head of Global Controlling in Vienna.
- Translate vision and long-term plans into concrete managerial numbers and provide support in achieving them
- Leverage SAP Hana for your area of expertise to a maximum
- Communication with external auditor, tax consultants

**Requirements**:

- Masters's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- **8+ years experience** in relevant field of controlling required (**FMCG Contexts**)
- Strong **analytical skills** and **proficiency in data modelling** and **(big) data analysis tools**:

- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- **Fluent business English** orally and in writing
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- **Solid SAP user level knowledge**, ideally S4HANA experience
- Structured and well-organized, pays attention to details in processes, having an eye on the essential
- Passionate and creative in developing tools and processes, upgrading Production Controlling to next level
- Desire to grow within the global finance organization
- Availability to travel
