Your role: Reporting to the "Head of Analytical Development Biotech" in the Global Analytical Development organization, this role represents an opportunity to significantly contribute to E2E CMC development of biotech programs as Structural & physico chemical characterization Expert and leader of a team of scientists devoted to advanced Analytics by status of the art techniques for structural and higher order structure characterization of biotech products You will provide strong scientific leadership in biotech products characterization by championing new technologies, whilst maintaining and improving existing technologies with special focus on primary, secondary and higher ordered structure, including aggregates and particle characterization by various analytical techniques such as HPLC, LC-MS, AF4, Light Obscuration, Light Scattering, Dynamic Imaging Analysis and/or physical characterization techniques. You will be responsible with the team for the successful and timely delivery of characterization work packages (e.g., comparability studies) to support non GMP and GMP testing of Biologics DS, DP and IPCs for development, clinical and commercial scopes, actively contributing to budget and resource forecast, ensuring cost awareness and monitoring.Drive and implement automatized and digital systems in the Unit to generate, document, evaluate and report analytical results effectively and according to the established quality requirements.Manage team by behavioral leadership built on Company behavioral model, fostering team member's development and engagement, leading and mentoring lab managers and scientists. Recommend and drive improvements to existing systems, processes, techniques, or programs to reach operational efficiency and cost effectiveness and scouting innovative analytical approaches with focus on cutting edge technologies for biotech product characterization. Who you are: - Graduate degree -ideally a PhD - in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Biotechnology or related field - Deep understanding of Analytics in biotech company and/or high profile academic institution (not less than 5 years) with broad scientific background - Experience in the areas of analytical technologies for characterizing protein primary (e.g., mass spectrometry), secondary and higher order structure (e.g., spectroscopic techniques) and analytical technologies for end-to-end characterization of aggregates and particles (including techniques such as SEC, AF4, Light Obscuration, Light Scattering, Dynamic Imaging Analysis) - Knowledge with process and product attributes including aggregation, particles, process reagents and impurities from upstream, downstream, fill finish, primary containers, and delivery systems - Proven Managerial experience of analytical development, characterization and/or process support teams in biotech company empowered by good organizational skills, highly motivation for people development and collaborative mindset - Curiosity and open minded to new tools & technology & ideas - English fluent **What we offer**:We are curious minds that come from a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.
