Exciting Opportunity: Accountant Wanted in Milan, Italy

The Role of the Accountant

As the Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's financial operations run smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

Performing accounting activities such as booking disbursements, cash receipts, and preparing payments to suppliers
Monitoring receivables and payables, and reconciling bank statements for multiple legal entities
Participating in cash flow recording activities and preparing daily, monthly, and yearly cash flow reports
Collaborating with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely recording of cash in and out activities
Assisting the Country Finance Manager and Controllers with budget preparation and monitoring
Maintaining and reconciling the balance sheet and general ledger accounts
Supporting the Finance Manager with annual audit activities and resolving any findings or discrepancies

What We're Looking For

The ideal Accountant candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
2+ years of accounting experience in EPC/Heavy Industry, preferably with international exposure
Strong accounting and tax knowledge (VAT, withholding tax, CIT, etc.)
Previous experience in Project based accounting essential
Demonstrable experience in procure to pay cycle
Excellent organisational and stress management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with SAP software is required
Full Italian working rights
