About the business unit

The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across several sectors including hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable generation and transmission & distribution networks. Together we provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension. Together with our clients, we're helping to deliver the energy transition globally.

Overview of the role

Come work for our detail design engineering team in Genova Italy. You will be part of the instrumentation branch of the team designing instrumentation for power plants, renewables and hydrogen applications enjoying the 2D/3D instrumentation modelling in a multidisciplinary environment. You will be constantly interfacing with other discipline's colleagues and with challenging customers helping them to design and purchase what is need to the project.

We are looking for experienced Instrumentation and Control design engineers, to strength our team, to be based in our office in Genoa for detail design works and OE services for Power Plants.

Candidate specification

The job requires the C&I design engineer to work in team for executing projects. International travel for short periods of time may be required.

The successful candidate will be able to perform a range of roles including:

• Delivering projects in accordance with agreed schedules at various stages including preparation of technical drawings, technical specification and production of construction drawings for Power Plant Applications such as:
• Instrument list
• Instrument Data Sheets
• Instrument Location Plans
• Instrument primaries hook up
• Instrument secondaries hook up
• Instrument rack composition
• Junction box drawing and compositions
• Control logic diagrams
• Alarm list
• I/O list
• Calculating and delivering instrument MTO for all the documents above
• Coordination with project team and internal team disciplines within Mott MacDonald Group including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Environmental
• Enhancing our business development and delivering projects in new technologies
