What you'll be doing

As a Public Policy Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the implementation of our public affairs strategy across Italian and European institutions. Working within our dynamic Institutional Relations team and reporting directly to the Institutional Relations Director, you'll have the opportunity to help shape the regulatory future of digital payments and financial services in a fast-paced environment. The role requires frequent travel to Rome, Luxembourg, and Brussels. Here's what your day-to-day will look like:

  • Strategic Support. Contribute to the operational planning and execution of Satispay's public affairs and government relations strategy.

  • Policy Analysis. Analyze and report on key legislative and regulatory developments impacting the FinTech sector at the national (Italy) and EU levels.

  • Advocacy. Work with the team in implementing targeted strategies to effectively advocate for Satispay's interests and positions with policymakers, industry stakeholders, representative associations.

  • Political Insight. Provide in-depth analysis and strategic perspective in contributions to position papers, policy notes, public consultations.

  • EU Engagement. A general knowledge of European political mechanisms, including EU co-decision procedures is required, in order to strategically engage with institutions and representative associations in Brussels.

  • Adaptation & Growth. Ability to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment, characterized by constant evolution and the necessity for quick, yet coherent adaptation of public policy strategies.

Who we're looking for

We need a problem-solver who loves teamwork and gets things done. If you're curious and ready for real ownership, you'll fit in Does this sound like you?

  • Experience: 5 to 7 years of professional experience in Public Affairs, Government Relations, or Regulatory Affairs in Italy. Previous experience working within the FinTech industry (either in-house or as an account manager for FinTech clients at a Public Policy/Consulting firm) is a significant plus.

  • Political Acumen: Very strong and proven knowledge of national political dynamics and mechanisms in Italy. Extensive experience with European political dynamics and institutions will be considered a strong nice to have.

  • Legislative Expertise: Deep understanding of national parliamentary procedures and European co-decision procedures. Knowledge of legislative drafting.

  • Track Record: Demonstrated track record in successfully implementing strategic advocacy and public affairs campaigns.

  • Language Skills: fluent written and spoken English is mandatory.

  • Work Environment: Proven ability to work and adapt effectively in a fast-paced, challenging, and constantly evolving business environment.
