Practice Area

BCG's Public Sector practice helps governments and agencies in their efforts to maximize public- policy outcomes. Our work with government clients offers unique opportunities to shape the future of public sector reform across the world. We work with some of the most senior and influential people in government all over the world. The global Public Sector Practice was established in September 2009 so it is one of BCG's newest and fastest growing practices. Although the Public Sector is an industry practice area, our value proposition to public sector clients draws deeply on capabilities right across our functional and industry practices - such as energy, health care, consumer (transport), organisation, corporate development (privatisation), operations and digital business models (Digital Ventures).

What You'll Do

Responsibilities (What You'll Do): You will be a fundamental part of the team and work alongside some of the world's top minds in the industry, significantly contributing to the development of diverse topics and support our ambitious growth targets. In this context, you will work hand in hand with C-levels and key decision makers of our clients, while playing a critical role in the firm's project teams, contributing to the analysis, design, and implementation of business strategies for clients across various industries.You will:
 
• Work on impactful projects that combine a deep understanding of the specific business with BCG's trademark strategic expertise
 
• Play a role in the growth on diverse topics through case execution and client development
 
• Work on top priority topics while gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to understand complex business challenges
 
• Use quantitative and qualitative analysis to derive insights and develop strategic recommendations
 
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and challenges, ensuring that the solutions proposed are tailored to the client's specific context. This involves frequent interactions with client team members and stakeholders
 
• Prepare and present findings, insights, and recommendations to both the BCG project team and client stakeholders.
 
• Own module, generate value for the client and adapt the work to changing demand
 
• Manage client team members and build client relationships
 
• Manage project leadership expectations and mentor and develop junior team members

What You'll Bring

Qualification (What You'll Bring): We're looking for exceptional talent to join us. You would typically have:

• 6-9 years of relevant experience in the Public Sector field and/or in a Public Sector consulting firm
• Proven time, people and project management skills
• Strong academic track record
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English
• Flexibility, ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel frequently
