Commis de cuisine

Casa Brera, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Milan belonging to Marriott International, is currently recruiting Commis de Cuisine for our staff canteen.

Reporting to the Executive Sous Chef, the role will cover any tasks the daily preparation and service of high-quality meals for our employees.

• This is full-time position, 5 days a week with 2 days off. 
• The starting date is estimated in February.

Working with a dedicated team of experts, you will learn something different every day as you work with new seasonal menus and unique presentations. You hard work pays off when a dish that you've thoughtfully helped to prepare has guests raving and anxious to return.   

What you'll do

• Support the Chef de Partie Canteen with daily food preparation tasks and service operations.
• Prepare ingredients, cook hot and cold dishes, and assist with plating and serving during meal times.
• Ensure sufficient supply and proper storage of ingredients at your workstation.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces, kitchen tools, and equipment in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
• Follow internal procedures, food safety protocols, and company standards.
• Work closely with the kitchen and service team to ensure efficient and timely delivery of meals.

What we're looking for

• A genuine passion for food and an eagerness to grow in the culinary field.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a canteen, collective catering, or hotel environment.
• Team spirit, a proactive attitude, and strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Basic knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP regulations.
• Reliability, flexibility, and punctuality.
• Availability to work full-time, Monday to Sunday, daytime shifts only.
