Senior Software Engineer

Job objective

We're looking for a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in cloud-native development and complex software architectures. With at least 5 years in the field, you will contribute to the development of next-generation supervision, monitoring, and control systems in a fast-paced, international environment.

Key Responsibilities


•    Design, develop, and maintain modern software solutions for mission-critical applications.

•    Lead the development of cloud-based and on-premise software architectures.

•    Translate system and business requirements into functional and technical specifications.

•    Develop robust microservices and containerized applications using DevOps principles.

•    Debug, optimize, and maintain both legacy and new codebases.

•    Collaborate with testing and support teams to resolve complex system issues.

•    Ensure consistent and well-documented code and architecture.

•    Create and deliver technical presentations to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.

•    Evaluate tools, frameworks, and best practices for continuous improvement and cost efficiency.

Skills and experiences:


•    Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical discipline.

•    Experience in supervision/monitoring system development

•    Programming languages: Java, C#

•    Frameworks: JPA, Spring Boot

•    Architecture: Microservices, modular and multithreaded application development

•    Web technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, Stencil, React

•    Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL

•    Source control: Git

•    Experience in developing and deploying applications to the cloud

•    Hands-on with Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Docker

•    Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.

•    Experience in system/software architecture design

•    Networking fundamentals and knowledge of Linux-based systems

•    Certifications in Agile, cloud platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, AWS, Azure), or DevOps tools are a plus.

•    Fluency in Italian and English
