Senior Software Engineer
Job objective
We're looking for a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in cloud-native development and complex software architectures. With at least 5 years in the field, you will contribute to the development of next-generation supervision, monitoring, and control systems in a fast-paced, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain modern software solutions for mission-critical applications.
- Lead the development of cloud-based and on-premise software architectures.
- Translate system and business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Develop robust microservices and containerized applications using DevOps principles.
- Debug, optimize, and maintain both legacy and new codebases.
- Collaborate with testing and support teams to resolve complex system issues.
- Ensure consistent and well-documented code and architecture.
- Create and deliver technical presentations to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Evaluate tools, frameworks, and best practices for continuous improvement and cost efficiency.
Skills and experiences:
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical discipline.
- Experience in supervision/monitoring system development
- Programming languages: Java, C#
- Frameworks: JPA, Spring Boot
- Architecture: Microservices, modular and multithreaded application development
- Web technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, Stencil, React
- Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Source control: Git
- Experience in developing and deploying applications to the cloud
- Hands-on with Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Docker
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.
- Experience in system/software architecture design
- Networking fundamentals and knowledge of Linux-based systems
- Certifications in Agile, cloud platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, AWS, Azure), or DevOps tools are a plus.
- Fluency in Italian and English
