Indirect Procurement Lead

We are looking for a highly motivated and performance-driven professional to take on the role of Team Leader Indirect Procurement. This position is ideal for an ambitious individual with several years of hands-on procurement experience who is ready to step into a leadership role. The successful candidate will lead a team of around 5 people and drive excellence in indirect procurement activities, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and supplier quality.

Your Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of approx. 5 procurement professionals.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, performance, and continuous improvement.

• Provide guidance to team members on priorities, processes, and supplier management.

• Procurement Strategy & Execution

• Oversee indirect procurement categories (e.g., IT, marketing, professional services, facilities, logistics).

• Manage sourcing projects, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and ensure alignment with business goals.

• Drive compliance with procurement policies, governance, and sustainability goals.

• Operational Excellence

• Support and guide operational purchasing activities as needed.

• Ensure timely delivery of services and goods through effective supplier management.

• Use data and analytics to monitor KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.

• Stakeholder Engagement

• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across departments.

• Act as a trusted partner to business units in aligning procurement solutions with organizational needs.
• Communicate effectively at all levels, presenting results and opportunities.

Your Background

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in procurement, with at least 2–3 years in indirect procurement.
• Optional but valuable: experience in operational purchasing or strategic sourcing.
• First leadership experience (e.g., mentoring or managing 1–2 people) is preferred.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• High performer with ambition to grow into a broader leadership role.
• Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Proactive, hands-on, and results-driven.
• Strong leadership potential with a collaborative mindset.
