Software Developer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Developer (Salesforce) in Latin America.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions that integrate with or extend the Salesforce platform, contributing to high-impact digital products. You will work across the full engineering lifecycle, from architecture and coding to testing and deployment, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and security. Collaborating closely with product, DevOps, and cloud engineering teams, you will deliver robust solutions using modern engineering practices, cloud services, and Salesforce components. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fully remote environment with cross-functional teams across Latin America while solving complex technical challenges. You will also contribute to improving internal engineering standards and technical best practices.

• Accountabilities
• Design, implement, and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations connecting Salesforce with internal and external systems.
• Build Salesforce components such as Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Platform Events, applying high engineering standards.
• Architect asynchronous, event-driven workflows involving Salesforce and cloud services.
• Own the full software development lifecycle, including code reviews, automated testing, observability, documentation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, DevOps, and cloud engineering teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Implement secure integrations using OAuth, Named Credentials, and Salesforce APIs, adhering to governance and best practices.
• Evaluate technical trade-offs and propose designs that prioritize scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
• Requirements
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in backend or full-stack roles.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language: Java, Python, , or C#.
• Experience building or integrating Salesforce solutions, including Apex, LWC, integrations, API consumption, and Platform Events.
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including clean code, SOLID principles, layered architecture, event-driven patterns, and API design.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1) for technical communication and documentation.
• Nice-to-have: experience with middleware, ETL pipelines, multi-system integrations, fintech or enterprise-scale environments, and monitoring/observability tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, or New Relic.
